OpenAI and Anthropic cut AI model costs

OpenAI and Anthropic reduced prices on their newest AI models on Tuesday to lower per-token costs for enterprises.

OpenAI released GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna with per-token costs half those of their predecessors, reducing API prices by 50%. Anthropic launched Claude Opus 5.5 with token prices 20% below Opus 5, stating it costs 40% less to run than Opus 5.
